Custom Creations in the Studio
Here are just a few of the custom creations that have come out of the studio recently.
Generally, I'm a pretty quiet person. I keep to myself, have a small group of friends, and spend my weekends laying on the living room floor playing with kids and pets.
I've repeatedly heard, "have you ever googled yourself?"
Really? What could I possibly find?
The question takes on a new meaning when you are in the wedding industry. I mean, I make products that will decorate the most photographed day of your average person's life. Couples pay profession photographers to take hundred of photos, and often, my products become a part of those photographs. If it wasn't for hashtags and hyperlinks, I would never see these photos.
During naptime today, I googled my business name. Page after page of wedding blogs, online reviews, and product trends featuring my products appeared. It made my heart swell seeing so many smiling couples holding their custom parasols, or bridal parties staged around a monogrammed aisle runner.
It was like walking down memory lane with people I've never met. Customers who were forever in my mind as a frantic message at 2 AM begging for a last minute wedding item, and chasing down a mail carrier to make sure someone's rush delivery made it to them before their wedding day. I was viewing their wedding photos. Photos they would show to their children, and their grandchildren. Of course they will forget my business name, forget all of the messages we exchanged about getting the perfect shade of magenta, but I know I got to share in their once-in-a-lifetime moment, and that is pretty awesome.
Launch day is here, and like any college student cramming for final exams, I can't help but think of all of the things I have left to do. After 10 years of writing technical reports for the government, I promise I won't bore you with lengthy prognostications. The month of July promises to be grand as I create and photograph some awesome products.
Check back often, we'll have new products and blog posts added each week.
